The Big Bore .38 really surprised me with it''s quality construction. for the money I expected much less. Even considering it''s seemingly heavy heft, for it''s size is impressive. You know you have a handfull good metal quality. The components are all tight fitting, no slop in the hinge work all make for a great package. On firing, the recoil is quite controlable and presents no problem. It seems to shoot a bit high, but that may be due to my personal handhold, time and practice will tell. I would have given a solid 5 star if I hadn''t found one problem. The trigger pull is much too heavy. I have taken into consideration that for safety sake this is a good idea, however there is a delay finding the release point in the sqeeze. This could be a potential problem in as you put it "moments of need"
All in all, the Big Bore is a good investment and I recommend it highly. C.R. Hausburg New Bern NC
